मुख्य सचिव आनंद बर्द्धन ने दी सड़क सुरक्षा पर जीरो टॉलरेंस की हिदायत, तीन माह तक लाइसेंस निलंबन के निर्देश

मुख्य सचिव श्री आनंद बर्द्धन की अध्यक्षता में राज्य सड़क सुरक्षा कोष प्रबंध समिति की समीक्षा बैठक आयोजित की गई। बैठक के दौरान मुख्य सचिव ने परिवहन विभाग, पुलिस विभाग एवं संबंधित अधिकारियों को निर्देशित किया कि सड़क सुरक्षा के उल्लंघन पर जीरो टॉलरेंस नीति के तहत सख्त कार्रवाई सुनिश्चित की जाए।
मुख्य सचिव ने कहा कि सड़क सुरक्षा मानकों के उल्लंघन की स्थिति में अधूरी कार्रवाई स्वीकार्य नहीं होगी। जो भी इन्फोर्समेंट की कार्यवाही की जाए, उसका त्वरित और शत-प्रतिशत क्रियान्वयन सुनिश्चित किया जाए। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि यदि आवश्यक हो तो राज्य की परिधि में सड़क सुरक्षा मानकों में संशोधन भी किया जा सकता है।
उन्होंने स्पष्ट निर्देश दिए कि रेड लाइट जंप करने वालों का ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस कम से कम तीन माह के लिए निलंबित किया जाए। ऐसे मामलों में, जहां चालान तो किया गया है लेकिन कंपाउंडिंग की प्रक्रिया लंबित है, संबंधित वाहन को सीसीटीवी कैमरे के माध्यम से ट्रैक कर आगे की कार्यवाही सुनिश्चित की जाए।
मुख्य सचिव ने पुलिस विभाग को निर्देशित किया कि ट्रैफिक संचालन को ऑटोमेटेड और डिजिटल मोड में लाने के लिए आवश्यक उपकरण, ट्रैफिक एवं स्ट्रीट लाइट, तथा नवीन तकनीकी संसाधनों का प्रस्ताव प्रस्तुत करें। साथ ही, उन्होंने सड़क सुरक्षा के प्रति जन जागरूकता अभियान को व्यापक स्तर पर संचालित करने के भी निर्देश दिए।
उन्होंने परिवहन और स्वास्थ्य विभाग को निर्देशित किया कि सड़क दुर्घटनाओं की आपात स्थिति में हेली एंबुलेंस सेवा एवं अन्य बेहतर चिकित्सा विकल्पों पर ठोस प्रस्ताव तैयार किया जाए।
